Hat day!

I've finished a hat for Tom, but the crown is a little short. I thought it might be, so I put in a lifeline before I started decreasing to shape the crown. I'll rip back to there and make it a little taller.

Nov. 3

(Peculiar) Things I did today:
Re-opened my second earring piercing, that I haven't used in over 10 years. I didn't really mean to, and I wish it hadn't happened.
Made belgian, yeast-raised waffles, then served them for dinner with Swedish Meatballs.
Called a ton of pharmacies trying to find a discontinued diaphragm. Many pharmacy techs don't know what a diaphragm is, and the pharmacist at Costco kept calling me kiddo. I'm looking for what is apparently an archaic form of birth control...kiddo is probably not the best adjective for me.
Broke my own "leggings are not pants" rule and popped into the store after Pilates. The last time I did that I got carded as being potentially under 30. The key to looking young might be going to the storeir without proper pants.

Day two

Me and the birthday girl yesterday...I always take a pic of myself with the kiddos on their birthday.

NaBloPoMo again?

I love doing NaBloPoMo, even though I don't mange to write anything the other 11 months of the year. Today we celebrated Thea's SIXTH birthday. Time flies. Larry night was Halloween, with Batman, Madeline, a Kangaroo, and Stampy Longnose. So fun.

Day 8

Baby's first sushi...he liked the ginger, but the avocado made him gag!

Day 7

Hmm...plugging along. So far November is a bad month for lips. Thea put an incisor into hers last week, and abraded the outside as well. She nearly split it inside to outside, which would have required stitches (on her birthday, no less).
Tonight Willem fell off a chair and bit his lip (also, held his breath and fainted, he's a fun one). His was a fast fix, nursing babies with mouth injuries are such easy first aid. Nursing puts pressure on cut lips to stop the bleeding and rinses everything with sterile, antibacterial breast milk. Never a dull moment around here!
